A new Asset Management initiative was being rolled out within Electric Operations, requiring a streamlined and flexible training solution. The business needed to provide introductory information on asset management, including the company’s policy, strategy, plans, and each employee’s role in supporting the initiative.

The target audience included two distinct groups, office‑based and field‑based employee, each with different responsibilities, contexts, and information needs. Delivering relevant content without duplicating effort or increasing maintenance complexity was a key challenge.

I proposed a single adaptive eLearning course that personalized the learning experience based on the learner’s role within the organization. At the start of the course, learners identified whether they were office‑based or field‑based, allowing the course to dynamically deliver role‑relevant content.

The design emphasized a clean, minimalistic flat‑design aesthetic focused on “need‑to‑know” information, with optional “nice‑to‑know” content available through click‑to‑reveal interactions. Complex concepts were broken into clear, sequential steps, supported by multimedia and animated videos to reinforce understanding. The course was fully responsive, enabling access across devices.

The solution delivered a scalable and flexible training experience that personalized content for different audiences within a single course.
